Chevy Bolt, Bolt EUV To Deliver “Dozen Roses” Heart-Stoking Role On Valentine's Day at Disney

This particular time of this strange year may be a great time to add a little extra romance in any relationship, as record snow has blanketed many areas of the nation and homebound couples are suffering from repetitive bouts of cabin fever. Everyone here at West Chevy of Knoxville can admit that nothing quite stokes romance like cuddling up on February 14th and watching two Chevy electric bolts officially be unveiled from Mickey Mouse's own personal kingdom!

It was announced last week that both the 2022 Chevy Bolt and 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV electric vehicles will be released on February 14th, courtesy of a video that depicted a little girl who doles out Tinker Bell's magic throughout the street lights of a neighborhood from the back of a Bolt EUV. Before the entire city is supernaturally lit up, a clear shot of the tailgate and rear lights of the EV is shown. Last summer, GM had released a silhouette teaser that gave the viewer a clear idea of the drastic difference evident in height between the 2022 model and what is found on the current model.

For months there have been other images in various forms of media that have alluded to the coming of both of these savvy electric vehicles, as we have firmly pledged to launch 30 new vehicles within the next four years. A close look at our reworked logo even reveals the form and function of a plug making its way to fully charge a vehicle going into a wall. With a blue color that pays homage to the promise of non-polluted skies and a zero-emissions future, the 2022 Bolt and Bolt EUV are both on schedule to be available this summer.

The EUV is the first Chevy to get Super Cruise, the hands-free driving assistance technology that was just a while ago exclusive to the Cadillac namesake. Both the Bolt and Bolt EUV will get nicer interior materials, a completely upgraded infotainment system, and a new push-button gear selector. The EUV will also sport a sunroof, which the Bolt doesn't currently offer. The main difference between the two is the size, as the 2022 Bolt EUV is more of a compact SUV, with the EV existing as a tall hatchback. We expect the driving range on these incoming vehicles to be around 259 miles, or potentially even more.

In March of 2019, GM announced a $300 million investment into its Orion Assembly Plant in Lake Orion, Michigan to produce a Chevy EV coming soon. Many proud workers here will play a very important part in the sustainable and game-changing production of this pair, which will no doubt prove to be the continuance of making clean energy a household commonality and bridge to longstanding vitality for the auto industry as a whole.

2022 Corvette Z06 Detail Docket: Shedding Light on the Incoming Performance Prototype

With the New Year just beginning, car buyers nationwide are enjoying all of the features and value prospect of the 2021 fleet. From the Silverado to the Equinox, there are some fantastic new vehicles here at West Chevy of Knoxville, and a wide range of functions and trim levels for family drivers on up to sporty and aggressive crossover SUVs. After the release of the mid-engined C8 Corvette, the attention and rave reviews it nailed down worldwide had everyone anxious to see what cornering-proficient and power-rich Corvette was on the way next.

The 2022 Corvette Z06 is on track to be the most powerful one yet and is supposed to receive wider, stickier tires along with much more powerful brakes. With drastic aerodynamic improvement and a long list of driver assistance features, the Corvette's long-standing fan base is going to go wild over this incoming track lover's feast. The C8 offered the most driver-focused cabin yet, and the minute that many first-time drivers sat inside they compared the build to the world's top supercars that boast a much higher price tag.

With the exotic flat-plane crank V8 under the hood, the 2022 Z06 is going to emit a throaty rumble not like any 'Vette that has come before and still inherits the best technology traits from the regular model. The naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter V8 is expected to generate over 600 horsepower, mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic and rear-wheel drive. Defining one point of reference to put one in the mindset of how much power will be at the Z06's disposal, the 495-horsepower Z51 went from zero to 60 in just 2.8 seconds and blasted through the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 122 mph.

Suspension tuning on vehicles that are going to be spending a large amount of their time on the track is very important, as an in-depth re-calibration and other active aerodynamics will improve every inch of handling. A car this good deserves the ultimate sound system to enjoy during the thrills, and you have the choice of a Bose 10-speaker system along with 14-speaker upgrade. A car like this could quite likely be tempting when left in anyone's hands such as a valet, and the Performance Data Recorder on board can keep track of any “untrained stunt moves” that could inevitably result.

As the staff on duty at Jalopnik pointed out, the RPM potential for the Z06 is even higher than the notoriously-high redline supercars such as the Lamborghini Huracan Evo and Aventador SVJ. This is the vehicle that will no doubt howl so loudly in the hot summer lot at local car shows that excited spectators will be begging for just one more rev! We'll also be keeping our eyes on the potential for a complete exhaust overhaul, that will go hand in hand with the new engine to have the audible distinction of a destroying and mammoth caliber.

Check out the pictures of the 2022 Corvette Z06 here.

2022 Chevy Equinox With Expected Summer Production Launch, Sleek RS Trim, Fresh Exterior Styling

Next summer will definitely bring about a heightened sense of anticipation, as many production delays will come to a halt and the incoming brand-new bowtie vehicles will proudly roll of the assembly lines! The 2022 Equinox will be one of the feature-rich incoming, officially confirmed on the GM Authority blog to enter the production phase next July. It was debuted at the 2020 Chicago Auto Show last February and comes with new exterior styling as well as the sporty RS trim level.

The turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine offers up 170 horsepower, with the 2.0-Liter 4-cylinder cranking out 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Equinox can tow up to 3500 pounds when properly equipped, and EPA ratings clock in with 26 mpg ratings in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. When equipped with the 2.0-liter engine and all-wheel drive, the Equinox nailed down 30 mpg during the Car and Driver testing crew's digital trot. The incoming Equinox model will be built at the GM CAMI plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, and is bound to remain a favorite among those who are on the hunt for a snug and well-made crossover.

Not only does the new Equinox offer versatility and style: many of the industry's most heralded awards have stood up and drastically taken notice. The 2020 Car Seat Check Honor Roll rendered the Equinox as having the industry's “best in new car seats”, while Parents Magazine deemed it the “best car for teen drivers”. This publication that takes close note of how current offerings fare with those who just got their pavement privilege also voted the Equinox in as their “Best overall family car for 2020”.

As the industry underwent a massive change during the events of 2020, GM took a close look at the ordering process and formulated a method that provides an intense focus on specific locations and which models prove to be the most popular. The new “VIN view” feature allows for dealers to locate vehicles such as the Equinox at other locations nationwide and closely pinpoint the progress of their transit. We are excited about the changes to the exterior for the 2022 model, as the Equinox receives a new front grille, a restyled lower fascia, new fog lamps, redesigned tail lamps, and a revised rear bumper.

Possessing the best technology features are one of the key motivators when anyone in the market for a new vehicle makes their final decision, and the Equinox has a honed-in focus on providing these at the most reasonable price point. During times when you are on the drowsy side of driving or are on an unfamiliar stretch of interstate, the added reinforcement of safety features can provide the best sense of security and peace of mind. The Equinox offers lane keep assist with departure warning, a rear vision camera, following distance indicator, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, Intellibeam headlamps, and forward collision alert.

Plug-In Chevy Truck Set For International Debut During 2021 CES Show

Pickups are lodged securely in the category of vehicle that some may not picture going electric, and all of us here at West Chevy of Knoxville have carefully studied the stats on how ditching the stops at the pump will be beneficial for the planet. A recent report we saw online from Bloomberg candidly suggested that GM will debut or preview an electrified Chevy pickup truck during the virtual 2021 CES show this month. Usually, an up-close-and-personal event that connects tech professionals with common interests and inventions, it will be held virtually in the name of safety this year.

It is not known whether or not the electrified Chevy truck will be an EV concept or straight plug-in version, but it will certainly bear similarity to the current Silverado 1500. A detailed preview of this incoming model was shown during a recent investor's meeting, and also looked a bit like the official GMC Hummer EV. We are quite well aware that our sworn rival Ford has made noise about an all-electric F-150 that is supposed to arrive in two years and has already begun selling an F-150 Hybrid. Rivian and Tesla also have their own versions expected to hit the market by the end of next year.

While we are waiting on more information about all of the exciting developments in the form of oncoming electric models to develop, the 2021 Chevy Silverado is massively alive and kicking, and available for exciting test drives! Boasting excellent towing capability, powerful engines, and the industry's finest reliability ratings are some of its trademark qualities. 3 large bed choices, integrated bed step and 6-way power tailgate, super-efficient highway diesel, and numerous configuration types make the Silverado a great choice for everything from a hard day's work to a weekend spent off-roading.

Opting for the LTZ trim level provides for you upgrades in the form of an 8.0-inch touchscreen with smartphone compatibility, heated power-adjustable seats, six USB ports, and keyless start and entry. Chevy proudly claims the best cargo volume and bed width, seeing an average of about 10 cubic feet more than the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. The bumper is equipped with a large integrated bed step, the bed itself has 12 fixed tie-downs, and the Safety Package adds front and rear parking sensors and blind-spot monitors to the top-level High Country Trim.

There will soon come a time that offers up a full line of products whose sole power source is derived from a battery, and it is no doubt that the effects on the environment will be positive. We aspire to sell a million EVs by the middle of the coming decade, and the plan to come out with an electric truck shortly will no doubt please all of the hard-working and playing individuals out there who would like to see a sustainable and capable incoming fleet!

Chevy Colorado ZR2 Boasts “Enough Impressive Oomph To Conquer Gnarliest of Terrains”

The midsize truck market has seen a great amount of change over the last five years, as what used to be on the smaller side of things grew exponentially larger, and drivers began demanding more tech features along with a higher level of comfort inside the cabin. The Chevy Colorado has long been a favorite for those looking for a truck that isn't stretched out to XXL proportions, and the ZR2 offers up off-road-ready specifics that have forged their way into a very sizable and loyal following.

There remains the choice of either a diesel-powered 2.8-liter Duramax engine or an optional 3.6-liter gasoline V6, with a 6-speed automatic for the inline-four diesel and 8-speed for the V6. Front and rear locking differentials on top of a switchable 4-wheel drive system are a few of the traits that thoroughly prepare the ZR2 for the demands of the trail, as well as its 7000-lb towing rating. Just a short trip away from us here at West Chevy of Knoxville provides the amazing outdoor excursion to Windrock Park, offering more than 73,000 acres of challenging and versatile terrain to test your rig skills on.

For difficult destinations such as this the diesel would prove to be the best, and if sticking around where you'll be driving on more pavement the gas engine offers a great choice. Handling tricky corners with minimal roll and boasting a completely revised grille, the front fascia now boasts a look that you can't miss as it comes up on you into plain view. Well-chiseled and now hollowed-out to provide drastic improvement for airflow, there is an air of simplicity here that draws visual attention to the end of the truck that will be proceeding towards boulders and other hazards first.

The WT, LT, and Z71 models now feature updated center bars, skid plates, and lower fascias. Red tow hooks are now standard equipment, and you can choose from Bright Blue Metallic, Cherry Red Tintcoat, and Sand Dune Metallic for sand-running and fire-road ready new exterior colors. The LT model receives a new Chevy Infotainment 3 system with an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming for 2 active devices, voice command pass-through to phone, and Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto capability. With an extremely maneuverable size and offering a very comfortable ride over most surfaces, the Edmunds auto review team praised the ZR2 for its consistently excellent fuel economy, and its ability to return an EPA rating of around 20 mph while exhibiting crushing performance off-road all day long.

Great features offered on base-level trims are another way that models like the Colorado provide an added luster: the standard features on the base WT include air conditioning, cloth upholstery, and vinyl floor covering, power windows, 7-inch infotainment, two USB ports, and a 6-speaker sound system. The LT adds all of these great options, plus a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, power-adjustable driver's seat, 8-inch touchscreen, and two additional USB ports.

Chevy Lineup: Midnight, Sport, and RST Packages Enjoy Holiday Appeal + Heightened Demand

The Inventory that awaits holiday shoppers here at West Chevy of Knoxville contains many of the appealing assets we are so proud to offer during the greatest time of year! The Midnight, Sport, and RS trims have proven to be the most popular while securing many orders from interested customers. Awesome additives such as the blacked-out stance to the Traverse's LS and LT trims up their appeal with a Mosaic Black Metallic exterior color, while the Midnight Edition provides an all-black approach. A black ice grille, black-painted aluminum wheels, and badging with black roof rails round out this stealth and a perfectly sinister appearance.

With ample space for passengers and cargo, an intuitive infotainment system, and a highly-ranked and comfortable ride, the 2021 Traverse finished proudly in the top half of USNews.com's prestigious rankings. It harnesses a very capable V6 engine, great gas mileage, and a well-cushioned ride over rough roads. It also ranks at the top of its class in the valuable cargo space category, and the infotainment technology is user-friendly and easily accessible. The Traverse has also been ranked by US News as an ideal car for cruising around with the family, and also as one of the best overall values in its class.

The new 2020 Silverado Midnight and Rally editions are another way that the brand we love  to represent is offering up the ideal truck model this year. It's no surprise that the Midnight Edition is wildly popular: it includes a two-inch factory suspension lift and the Z71 Off-Road Package with Rancho mono-tube off-road shocks, an automatic locking rear differential, and skid plates to protect the most valuable elements your off-road truck carries underneath. The Midnight Edition darkens things up with its own unique flair by means of black Silverado badging, black grille, black bowties, black bumpers, black exhaust tips, and black off-road assist steps.

One in five Chevy Trax buyers opted for the Midnight Edition and Sport Edition packages over the last year, both giving it a unique look that sets it apart from the rest of the model's lineup. The 2021 Trax Sport Edition package provides awesome 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, black badging, and black beltline moldings, as well as black skid plates in the front and rear. Underneath, the very popular Chevy Trax rides on the GM Gamma II platform, shared with the  Buick Encore. The sensible-and-savvy Trax also received an engine swap for the past year, now brandishing the turbocharged 1.4-liter inline-4 LE2 powertrain, which produces 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Hailed by U.S News for its on-point maneuverability and fuel economy, you'll also benefit from the 18.7 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats, and 48.4 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flat.

The available options for the 2020 Chevy Silverado are plentiful, and the staff on duty at esteemed online blog Slashgear set out this past week to offer a close-up and detailed look at two of the best: the 1500 Duramax and Custom Trail Boss. The diesel Duramax model offered the crew an abundance of torque, at 460 lb-ft to go hand-in-hand with 277 horsepower. The 10-speed automatic is aptly equipped with a mass-damper torque converter, which ends up easily proving its presence with confident and smooth performance.

When you climb in and prepare to embark on your next adventure, you'll find four USB ports, dual-zone climate control, remote start, and a 120V outlet as standard. As you are ringing in the sights and sounds of the holidays with a test drive here at West Chevy of Knoxville, make sure to closely check out the LTZ package: it adds premiere goodies in the form of leather seats, a rear-sliding window, heated rear seats, Bose audio, wireless charging, parking assistance, blind-spot warnings, rear-cross traffic and forward collision alerts, lane-keeping assistance with adaptive cruise control, and a power sunroof.

The Technology Package goes to great lengths to make things so much easier on you with modern provisions: here you receive 360-degree cameras, a rear camera mirror and bed-view camera, a head-up display, and an 8-inch driver display. Once you hit the highway, you'll enjoy thoroughly-padded and luxurious seating, and a 29 mpg EPA fuel rating. One of the most recognizable and distinguished pickup trucks in the game, the Silverado 1500's stylish exterior and many customization options render it a breakthrough and front-running offering. The comfortable and quiet cabin will make a memorable impression during any length of drive, and retain its value as one of the most capable and value-driven trucks in existence.

The 2020 Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss provides a stiff yet comfortable ride, and the 6.2-Liter V8 assists greatly with the 5.4-second 0-60 mph time. The 18-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac rubber tires are happily at home while kicking up dirt, and you'll enjoy extras with the inclusion of the Custom Convenience and Infotainment Packages. These provide an EX Lift power lock and release tailgate, LED lighting for the bed, remote start, Sirius XM, and OnStar. You'll also gain Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and steering wheel audio controls.

To assure that you can conquer the challenges of off-road terrain properly, the Trail Boss comes equipped with skid plates, the very useful hill descent control, a two-inch factory suspension lift, mechanical locking rear differential, and Rancho shocks. This 6.2-liter engine is the largest engine out there available for a half-ton pickup, and the media crew on staff at Business 2 Community claimed after drive-testing that it's “way easy to get up to license-losing speed.” Both of these great-looking trucks perform at an awesome top-strength level, and a gift from the legendary bow-tie brand will bring the best of tidings under your 2020 holiday tree!
