Chevy Bolt EV Traction Motor Highlighted in InsideEVs Deep Dive Video

Within the realm of both hybrid and purely electrified cars, there is a lot going on behind the scenes, to say the least! Professor John Kelly of Weber State University took the liberty of dissecting the block of a Bolt EV Traction motor apart for a video presentation on the InsideEVs blog. Situated directly under the hood of the car, this component contains the actual gears, electric motor, and others needed to complete the all-important job of making the wheels turn.

As the blog admits wholeheartedly, some people would think that this is the most boring idea for a video ever, and that there are no gimmicks, car chases, or sight gags. But there is an amazing quality about discovering how technology works, and the WeberAuto YouTube channel has attracted over 100,000 viewers during its streaming days. Before starting the disassembly, Professor Kelly discusses the motor and some of its performance parameters of the Spark EV. When you get down to the actual nitty gritty of the Bolt EV motor, it produces less torque and has a lower peak amperage draw, with an ultimately higher RPM. However, it still offers more torque in the end, sporting a more efficient design.

As you can see for yourself in the video here, the professor then gives a completely guided tour of the unit's exterior, explaining every single part seen from the outer view. Once everything is labeled clearly, the deeper visual learning experience gets started. All of us here at West Chevy of Knoxville marveled at the sight of the pipe where the coolant comes in: there are six holes in the trough where fluid drips down on various parts of the trans axle, in a very complex and precise arrangement. The video provides fast-forward motion at just the right times when there are lengthy turns and screws, and really does a great job of portraying the insides and what goes on at every single instant of operation.

At about 45 minutes, you can really see the entire length of the rotor, and the task of clearing the alignment dowel begins. The drip channel for the oil to come out of the sump is pretty awesome to see close up, as well as the stator windings. Car and Driver heaped on the praise for the 2019 model, citing impressive range and immense practicality as two important reasons. We are beyond proud that that same well-read publication deemed the Bolt EV as the “best everyday electric car on the market today,” while being completely fascinated with its powertrain and spacious cabin. As the future of the automotive realm promises to change drastically, we are going to be witnessing full fleets begin to make the switch and crossover; the Bolt remains the best specimen at this moment for a sensational electric daily driver!

Mid-Engined Corvette Composed of CGI Featured on GM Authority

Many employees and loyal customers of West Chevy can agree that waiting for the C8 mid-engined Corvette has definitely been a lesson in patience. Some of the first rumors about it began decades ago, with those at the high ends of the chain denying all speculations. During the last year, there have been spy photos released of the vehicle as well as trademark and patent filings, and it is evident that the coming of the C8 is for real. One of the coolest media bits regarding its release can be seen here, with a very cool 360-degree rendering video that provides one of the most thorough looks at the C8 yet.

While the engine now moves from in front of the passenger compartment to the rear, the overall styling of the C8 still evokes regular Corvette vibes through and through. The rendering does a good job of showing the elements of lighting that would not look entirely out of place on a front-engined Corvette. The ways in which the various lines and creases blend in with the very modern revamp help to form the chassis into a very appealing and visually exclamatory sports car.

Many of the details have been kept heftily under lock and key so far, but it is expected that the new Corvette will use a DOHC V8 engine, possibly like the one used in a Cadillac Blackwing LTA mill, as opposed to the incorporation of a Small-Block pushrod V8. The engine will most likely be paired with a gearbox that sports a dual-clutch, and there could be a manual gearbox that uses a clutch-by-wire configuration. A disappointment to many, there will probably not be a reveal of any official quality anytime soon, even at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in January. Maybe there will be a private event hosted by Chevy just for the reveal, since everyone can agree that this is one special machine!

Some sources have told us that there may have been a bit of an electrical issue during development, in the area of load capacity. Based on what an awesome all-around car and commander of the track this baby is going to be, that is no surprise: changes may have to be made to coordinate suppliers involved for electrical components, as well as other needed equipment. Back in the 1960s, the engine jumped an important notch up to 530 horsepower, and the Vette's sense of raw power and accomplishment moved up a historic notch. Corvette Magazine once lamented, “The Corvette has followed a timeless formula, much to the joy of car fans from sea to shining sea.” We will keep you posted right here on the West Chevy Blog about any news that comes up pertaining to this release when we can excitedly advise everyone in the audience once and for all to “Fasten your seatbelts, and turn the ignition!”

2019 Colorado Bison Hailed by Autoweek as “Beefy, Full of Purpose”

The folks on staff at Autoweek last week recognized truthfully that GM simply “can't build trucks quickly enough,” and the special editions and upgrades are topics that are frequently asked about here at West Chevy of Knoxville. There are more than a dozen trims and special editions for Chevy's full-size trucks, but the inclusion of mid-level models has been going strong as of late. Last year, the brand we love to represent made huge news with our off-road focused ZR2, and followed through with Midnight and Dusk versions.

The Bison marks the first-time of the very exciting collaboration with expert aftermarket producer American Expedition Vehicles, or AEV. These are incredibly skilled folk who have been cranking out Jeeps and Ram trucks for more than two decades, including perhaps the most famous model of all, the Brute. Looking back through time and the very thrilling evolution of truck history, the very first GM Bison was a prototype gas-turbine semi-tractor trailer, constructed especially for the 1964 World's Fair. During the 1970's and 1980's, the Bison nameplate was used on a heavy-duty Class 8 truck, and now three decades later, it's a very special edition model to be proud off, with unworldly off-road ability.

The suspension was not modified under AEV's careful watch, so the factory 2-inch lift and Multimatic Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve dampers remain in place, alongside the stock-size 265/65R-17 Goodyear tires. Stamped steel bumpers alongside sliders and skidplates that provide a solid mass of protection for the truck's underbelly are fitted splendidly, and the task of halting traditional weight gain from adding components was really completed well by the experienced engineering team. The skidplates are designed for a high level of resistance to gauging, and provide a very high yield strength, to absorb any kind of hit, and bounce back with vigor.

The brand-new wheel flares provide more necessary coverage for tires and give the Bison some impressive shoulders. There is an available snorkel for the Bison, with its own pre-filter system located high up to improve the constant quest for clean air. Tackling the toughest of off-road terrain without the fear of excessive body damage, the testing team from Autoweek reveled in the excitement of the rock-filled trails near Florence Junction, Arizona for their in-depth analysis and driving location.

With the use of 4WD high range, the dirt two-track that led to the bigger rocks was conquered with ease, and big dips in the road did not stand a chance at washing out the front end. All things considered, the team concluded that the Bison is by far the “most capable, and most purposeful, 4WD midsize pickup truck.” Not worrying about the precious zones of your truck while taking it through the most challenging of territories is just one of the benefits of the Bison revamp: we have seen for years now that anything with AEV's blessing is pure grit and gold!

Leftlane Enjoys Festive Holiday First Drive With the 2019 Chevy Silverado 2.7-Liter Turbo

As the classic movies such as “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation” and “White Christmas” are fired up on DVD players throughout Knoxville this December, visions of trucks (and sugarplums) are dancing in many heads. Since the holiday season is upon us, we realize that Santa himself would probably prefer a V-8 with enough horsepower to tug along the entire North Pole as a power source for his cheer-bringing sleigh. But as the tides shift greatly as they have many times before, many different variants of engines have been gaining popularity as of late, and before now, buyers who wanted a truck with better fuel efficiency simply had to purchase a truck that didn't sport size.

The last generation Ford Ranger consequently bit the dust, and then the midsize Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier admittedly paved the way for the smaller truck to thrive, while becoming a desirable option to many. As the allure of smaller engines becomes more and more commonplace, we have been pleased to note that GM has decided to produce the 2.7-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder as the standard engine in the volume trim for the half-ton Chevy Silverado. We know that a 4-cylinder engine in a half-ton pickup is not exactly what some people picture when they think of brute force, but times are changing.

The new 4-cylinder produces 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque and is paired with GM's  8-speed transmission while sporting an EPA certification of 20 mpg city, and 23 highway. Chevy invited the well-seasoned testing staff at the Leftlane blog to Arizona to test the mid-trim pickup in the mountains, on route AZ-87 into the Tonto National Forest. Once the testing crew turned south on AZ-188 toward Tonto Basin, the narrow road gave them a chance to push the Silverado a bit in the turns, which it handled like a seasoned champ. The tire and suspension tuning gained props during the flat highway sections of the trip, and this was also when the comfort level and soundproofing elements were admired for their high quality.

Just to make sure that this red-rock laden drive in Arizona was tested with all of the proper options, Chevy provided a Ford F-150 to check out for ample comparison. One characteristic that was really noticed was the brakes: The F-150's right pedal was quite a bit softer and required more travel overall than the Silverado to complete the same amount of stoppage. The tiny screen and high level of switches and buttons aren't very easy on the eyes when you are situated in the F-150's interior, and the truck gurus at Leftlane claimed heartily that “if this is the future of half-ton powertrains, we're on board.” We heartily invite you down to West Chevy this holiday season to check out the entire lineup of trucks we have in stock, and make some holiday plans for your New Year's most exciting new purchase!

Corvette ZR1 Named “Best Car to Buy 2019” by Motor Authority

The Corvette is one of those vehicles that absolutely redefines “Special:” incredibly distinctive bodywork and performance are just two of its noteworthy characteristics. The very first model was introduced at GM Motorama in 1953 as a concept, followed a decade later by coupe and convertible styles. We know all about the appeal of Camaros, Mustangs, and many more options out there that exist for the track-loving and corner-hungry crew, but this is the one that has been widely known as “America's Sports Car” for decades. After being featured in the early 1960s show “Route 66,” Automotive News claimed excitedly that it was “synonymous with freedom and adventure.”

The experienced and knowledgeable staff at Motor Authority named the 2019 Corvette ZR1 as its “Best Car to Buy 2019” this past week, as all of us here at West Chevy of Knoxville celebrate it outshining rivals such as the Ford Mustang GT Performance Pack Level 2, Audi RS 5, the BMW M5, and Jaguar I-Pace. This very important and badge-flaunting decision was made after a day spent as the 2.0-mile Atlanta Motorsports Park course, where the judges were thoroughly impressed by the sheer force and speed of the ZR1. It's no surprise that after being put to the test, this able crew thought that “It's a missile pointed relentlessly forward, and it's capable of amazing speed in skilled hands.”

Affordable price was another element that weighed itself heavily in the judges' decision, ranking considerably lower than the others it was up against. The small-block LT5 puts to use a supercharger that offers up 52-percent more displacement, while at the same time generating 715 lb-ft of torque, and a very amazing 755 horsepower. Superior downforce was another quality that did not go unnoticed by experienced managing editor Aaron Cole, who also appreciated the way in which the driving experience became laid back when they hit the highway. Flaunting the first-ever automatic transmission on the ZR1, it is also available for the first time in a sun-kissable convertible option, for the first time since it originally was offered in 1970.

When it comes to cars that are lucky enough to have instilled in them this much raw power and appeal, we recognize that sometimes people talk. They wonder if every single individual who has ever fallen in love with a 'Vette will love it, if the shape is perfect, if it looks too modern, does it borrow too many accents from a Ferrari, and even if it is reminiscent enough of models before it to fare worthwhile. All of us here at West Chevy believe that the new ZR1 is everything that Corvette fans should ever demand from a finished product: it is lean, mean, and full of futuristic flair that will impress anyone who has been watching cars progress.

Back in 1974, we were overly proud of the Stingray Coupe: as we look at just how far our favorite line has come in many ways, we remember that this was the first year that both front and rear bumpers were polyurethane. There are so many reasons to be excited about the upcoming ZR1's release, and the snagging of yet another award was no surprise: not a single fan will want to wait an extra minute for a test drive when this winged warrior hits the showroom soon!

2019 Chevy Volt Billed By Roadshow as “Lightweight, With Excellent Ride Quality”

If you are looking into adding a car with electrification as one of your daily driving options, you surely have been attentively watching how charging times have improved drastically. Updates for the 2019 Volt give even faster 240-volt charging times, and the electric range within is beginning to really overshadow our competitors satisfyingly. The folks at the Cnet.com Roadshow blog did a piece last week highlighting the Volt's refresh for next year, and all of the exciting and Eco-Conscious reasons that you would want to own one.

The first thing that expert writer Jon Wong noticed about the new Volt is the front-end and silver grille inserts: they give the Volt a bit of what he deemed a “Transformers vibe,” and we feel this is a suitable comparison for our favorite and very futuristic offering. Tucked inside the body is a carryover powertrain, made up of a 1.5-liter inline-4, 18.4-kilowatt hour battery pack and electric motor, for a combined output of 149 horsepower, and 294 lb-ft of torque. EPA-rated mileage sits at a quite lofty 53 miles, which daringly champions over rivals such as the Hyundai Ioniq, Kia Niro, and the Toyota Prius. For the most part “doubling down” on mileage, this alone will be a massive selling point for many in the current climate.

Once you factor in the gas engine, the range is upped to 420 miles, and the brand-new 7.2-kw charger lays down a very impressive 240-volt charging time, from 4.3 hours all the way down to 2.3. If you are planning on deriving the necessary juice for the journey from a standard wall outlet, you'll have a 13-hour wait, which can still work for those turning in during a night of rest before prepping for the day that lies ahead. The staff at Roadshow felt that the handling on smooth roads was excellent, on a jaunt from Detroit to Columbus, Ohio. The suspension very easily took the edge off of impacts from the usual bumps, and enjoying the benefits of its mileage on longer-distance trips will be one of the best qualities the Volt offers.

Excellent additives like an 8-inch touchscreen were greatly enjoyed by the Roadshow crew, offering very crisp graphics, intuitive menus, and fast response times. One great reason to opt for the Premier trim is that navigation is standard, as well as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the all-important data gleaning Wi-Fi hotspot. Within this trim level, the wireless charge pad is relocated conveniently from under the armrest to a more convenient location right at the base of the center stack. There are two USB ports, as well as a 12-volt outlet up front, and those in the backseat have access to a 12-volt outlet between the seats. The backup camera is now an HD unit, and the pedestrian alert system has external speakers equipped as standard.

Forward Collision Warning with low-speed automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning with lane keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the safety front, assuring you that every drive you take you will be covered with the utmost in high-tech protection. With all of these updates as well as faster charge times and better infotainment tech, the Volt commands a very exciting and futuristic presence here at West Chevy, where we invite you to come down and check out electrified options this holiday season!

50 Golden Years After the Beginning, eCOPO Camaro Race Car Concept is Born

It was fifty years ago that the original COPO Camaro was introduced to the public, and all of us here at West Chevrolet are constantly in awe of this car's potential for power, ability, and raw handling on the track. The new eCOPO Camaro Concept demonstrates a vision for electric drag racing, as the future has arrived, in the sense that planet responsibility and sustainability is at the top of many automaker's list, including ours. Developed by GM and built in conjunction with the Hancock and Lane Racing drag team, this new concept car is based on the 2019 COPO Camaro.

This is an entirely electric-powered car, driven by an electric motor that offers up the equivalent of more than 700 horsepower, and 600 lb-ft of torque. Testing time for the quarter-mile is estimated now in the 9-second range, and this is one concept that has pushed the power and racing envelope to the fullest, while at the same time channels the spirit of full-throttled and high-octane racing. Hancock and Lane Racing not only have a track record of success within the drag racing realm, but also benefit from strong ties to Patrick McCue, the brains behind the record-setting “Shock and Awe” electric drag racing car, and the Seattle-based Bothell High School automotive technology program.

The original 1969 Camaro models relied on the most creative engineering in existence to make them successful in the very exciting and challenging event of Stock Eliminator drag racing. The same level of dedication is evident in the ground-breaking new motor within the eCOPO, which sports GM's first 800-volt battery. This electric motor is based on a pair of BorgWarner HVH 250-150 motor assemblies, each with the capability to generate 300 lb-ft of torque, while utterly replacing the gas engine we have all become so accustomed to. It is mated to a conventional, racing-ready “Turbo 400” automatic transmission that boosts the motor's torque to the same solid rear axle put to use in the production COPO Camaro racers.

With the new 800-volt battery pack, there is a much more efficient transfer of power to the all-electric motor, and it is able to support faster recharging. This is all-important when it comes to the rapidly paced elimination rounds in drag racing, when time is of the essence. This is very exciting new territory in the technological realm, as drag strip racing is one very demanding and pavement-pounding performance arena that gasoline has dominated since its early origins. Each of the four included 200-volt modules in the battery pack weigh around 175 pounds, and are mounted strategically for ultimate weight distribution.

A full On-board Battery Management System monitors all temperatures and constantly changing critical voltages within the pack. It is also tied into a comprehensive safety system that is always evaluating the electrical components in a vehicle, for safe operation and proper function. This electric motor as the same bell house mounting pattern and crankshaft flange as the widely-used LS-family engines in Chevy's crate engine lineup. This is what allows it to bolt up to nearly any single one of the GM transmission family's lineup.

The possibilities are amazing and will open up numerous ways to limit fuel use in the drag racing realm, a place in which fully electric power was scoffed at just a few years ago. The eCOPO Concept joined the 50th anniversary 2019 COPO Camaro race car along with two dozen additional Chevy concepts and show vehicles, finishing its run at SEMA in Las Vegas on November 2nd.

AutoWeek Claims Corvette ZR1 Sports “As Much Power as Niagara Falls”

When seasoned experts begin to talk about the Corvette, it's no surprise that the reviews are glowing, thorough, and overly excited about an abundance of pure power. Autoweek has long been doling out the goods on the best and baddest cars in the business, and last week all of us Corvette fans here at West Chevy were excited to read the in-depth feature about the 2019 Corvette ZR1. Right off the bat, the blog claims that the ZR1 provides “better performance for your dollar than anything with four wheels,” a heaping sentiment of pride and prowess that we don't take lightly!

The ZR1 is the top-of-the-line Corvette model, situated above the Stingray, Grand Sport, and Z06. It includes the Track Performance Package, which comes with a large rear wing, and plenty of swagger to defeat any rival that claims a corner-bending and throttle-heavy approach. This aggressive and appealing new model builds 755 hp from the 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which is simply a lot to play with on any desired plateau. There has always been an abundance of power in the ZR1: you always feel the pull, no matter what gear you are in.

The testing staff at Autoweek drove a ZR1 that came with the Track Performance package, and so the grip was applauded for being perfectly plentiful. This was most noticeable while driving up on-ramps and noticing how much energy it took to appropriately slow down to merge with freeway traffic. When fully in gear and active lapping up the track, the 6.2-liter V8 makes its presence known: you don't purchase a Corvette to instill any sense of silence on a daily basis. Ask us here at West Chevy how you can add Comp seats, red brake calipers, satin graphite aluminum wheels, or a chrome badge to properly deck out your new purchase.

The folks over at Road And Track blatantly admitted last week that “large swathes of the public never seem to take Corvettes seriously,” and also recognized that the ZR1 absolutely pushes the power envelope to the extreme. For many years, the engineering team has been stressing the fact that the Z06 was pushing the envelope of what is capable for the configuration of the C7, hinting along the way that a mid-engine variant may be the fix.

What excites us most about this car is options such as the ZTK track package add race-ready wings, and other cool features. Just to give you an idea of how much power we are dealing with, the C7 ZR1's supercharged V-8 creates more than double the horsepower of the V-8 in the 1990 C4 ZR1: this is a car that warrants a test drive through winding fall roads right away!

2019 Camaro Debuts Stealth New Yellow Shock Exterior During Annual SEMA Show

This week, many of us eager Camaro fans here in Knoxville were able to get an exciting preview of the new Shock exterior color that will be available to beef up the outer appearance on the new 2019 model. It was shown on a 2019 Camaro SS show car that will be on display at the SEMA Show Oct. 30 – Nov. 2 in Las Vegas, where it will be shown with brand new performance parts and accessories available from Chevy dealers. The new model already offers a completely reinvigorated style and multiple new technologies, and sits as an ideal blank canvas to have to build on.

The goodies that you can add include second-generation sound effects, a black wing spoiler, fuel door with exposed carbon-fiber insert, black Camaro fender badges, 50-state legal cold-air induction kids, RECARO performance seats, Brembo six-piston front brake upgrade kit, and 1LE suspension components. These awesome additions were put together by the same designers and engineers responsible for the Camaro itself, and were put through the same rigorous testing standards as the components that were factory-installed.

You can check out Chevrolet.com/accessories to get the scoop on all of the details, and choose home or dealer delivery, as well as the option to select dealer installation. This awesome-and-able Shock show vehicle features concept front-end styling that includes a relocated bowtie emblem and concept hood/fender graphics, and will be accompanied in the display by a Satin Steel Grey Metallic personalized Camaro LT convertible, which also sports unique red accents, and additional accessories. Everyone from diehard classic fans to those who just fell in love with the Camaro namesake this year will go nuts over the new front-end styling: on LS, LT, and SS models, there is an entirely new face with fascia, grille, dual-element headlamps, hood, and new LED signature lighting.

Don't forget to check out the Turbo 1LE model: it really is part of the integral glue that ties together the Camaro's performance lineup. There is a brand-new 10-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission available on the Camaro SS, which features both line lock and launch control. Launch Control enables the driver to achieve the highest levels of acceleration possible in a straight line, and is also a form of traction control that manages tire spin during the vehicle's exit. The entire Infotainment system has been redesigned, along with enhanced available navigation. Along with Shock, the 2019 Camaro color scheme also features Shadow Gray Metallic, Satin Steel Grey Metallic, Crush, and Riverside Blue Metallic. The spirit of the Camaro has long been born and bred on excitement, and “yearning for yellow” as far as a color scheme can now be easily satisfied!

Business2Community.com Heralds 2018 Chevy Bolt as “Appealing, Futuristic, and Fast”

Nigel Atkinson of Business2community.com was an earlier adopter of an electric vehicle, having a 2014 Chevy Spark EV as his reliable daily driver. Since he has had heavy doses of love for electric cars for so long, he was eager to get a long week's worth of driving in the Chevy Bolt EV. While he generally was satisfied with his Spark EV, he sometimes got a bit uncomfortable during long drives, and the slightly limited cargo space. There was also cause for occasional wheel spin, due to the 140 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque rating, even though he deemed it as “an absolute hoot” to drive.

First launched two years ago with U.S. Sales getting their start in California during December, demand is now surpassing supply, much like the housing market itself in some areas of the nation. He thought that styling is definitely a drastic improvement over the original Spark, as the exterior does not wear the futuristic badge as loudly as some. Nigel thought after his first drive that the new Bolt was “particularly fast,” and happily took to the wheel of a Chevy Bolt EV Premier, which was fully loaded and decked out in Orange Burst metallic paint. Under the hood is a 60-kw lithium-ion battery, resting just below the floor.

This motor offers up 200 horsepower, and 266 lb-t of torque, making it a blast to drive right off the bat. Hooked up to the Vbox, the Bolt completed the 0-60 trot in 6.4 seconds. Driven with care, the Bolt has an EPA range of 238 miles, and once you are on the move, it is seamless, and very easy to drive. Light steering with minimal feedback, well-dampened suspension, and responsive acceleration all are huge assets to the typical urban drive through elements like rush hour traffic.

Nigel thought after an entire week that the shape provides ample headroom up front and in rear, as well as ample visibility. The 10.2-inch touchscreen runs the Chevy MyLink infotainment system, and opting for the Premier trim is quite obviously the way to go. Here you receive blind spot detection, rear-cross-traffic alert, as well as one of the coolest back-out aids/safety features in existence: the 360-degree camera. Pedestrian detection also makes sense for a car that can sometimes seem silent, with the dash rapidly displaying an outline of any person who happens to be too close to your path.

Trunk space has gone up from the Spark's 9.6 feet to a more practical 16.9 ft in the Bolt, and it was quickly decided that the pros of new Bolt ownership easily outweigh any cons. What we think will impress West Chevy of Knoxville customers the most is the extreme benefit of low running costs: without oil, radiator, or a fuel pump, just keeping the tires rotated and battery charged can leave you ready for travel. According to Repair Pal, a gas-powered Chevy Spark would cost an average of $411 per year in routine maintenance, which is around $1,200 during a 3-year period. SEMA Stage Set to Showcase Silverado RST Sport and Offroad Editions

As fall is in full swing right here at West Chevy, we are constantly browsing the news wires and web to see what is next for all of the models customers are constantly asking us about. Trucks have been “hotter than hot” as of late, and folks in and around Knoxville have been presented with some killer options to haul, tow, and climb their way around any fun weekend or workday situation! Chevrolet has now released a selection of concept trucks that will debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas next month, and each one is designed to showcase the large number of personalization options that exist for the extra-cool all-new 2019 Silverado pickup.

The High Country concept is currently on display at the Texas State Fair, and makes the already-luxurious High Country next-level with a two-inch suspension lift, bronze exterior accents, and 22-inch wheels. Ultra-cool available accessories and performance parts, including six-piston Brembo front brakes with color-matched rear calipers, a 6.2-liter cat-back dual exit exhaust, and a cold-air intake upgrade are also available to put to peak performance standards.

The RST Off-Road is a much more rugged truck, designed to handle the elements of the wild and less-explored regions that abound right here in Tennessee. Here you get to put to the test goodies such as a 40-inch LED light bar, off-road Squadron lamps from Baja designs, sport assist steps, Sport Bar package, and illuminated black bowtie grille emblem. You'll get to tackle the tundra, dirt or dust with the help of 18-inch off-road wheels, wrapped in very knobby and able all-terrain tires.

The aggressive and urban-inspired Silverado RST Street is designed for city use, and is based on the new RST trim for the 2019 Silverado 1500. The suspension system is lowered, body-side graphics added, as well as exterior-enhancing performance parts. Specific tailoring has also taken place to make the 5.3-liter V8 engine sound meaner, and pleasantly throaty for sporting on the more crowded variety of streets! There are also now carbon fiber-look accents on the grille bar, mirror caps, door handles, and interior trim, along with high-gloss black 22-inch wheels, carbon fiber exhaust tips by Borla, a one-piece hard tonneau cover, and a blatantly-blasting 200-watt powered subwoofer and DSP amp kit from tried-and-true audio geniuses Kicker.

The LTZ Concept showcases the advanced trailering technologies available on the 2019 Silverado 1500, and performance parts for the 5.3-liter V8. There is a 5.3-liter cold-air intake upgrade system, cat-back single exit exhaust, and six-piston Brembo brakes up front as well as 22-inch chrome aluminum wheels. There are six-inch rectangular assist steps allowing for easy access, and the concept features a Chevrolet Trailering Camera Package, which is a removable accessory camera that can be viewed through the center stack display, after being securely mounted to a trailer.
