2024 Chevy Blazer EV Prototype Via InsideEVs Looks Lavishly Long, Low, and Loaded with Tech

As the rainy season ends and the best months of spring are directly ahead of us here West Chevy of Knoxville, it’s a great time to enjoy the various current models we have on the lot that are available for a test drive! Everything that is currently on deck is stacked out just the way we imagined it, and ready for all our loyal customers to lease and own. The InsideEVs blog is one of the best mediums for us to obtain information about incoming models, and Chevy recently gave them a sneak peek as far as to what the upcoming 2024 Blazer EV has to offer.

The charging port door was in plain sight, as well as the fender and front door area directly around it. Based on the appearances of that teaser, we were fairly certain that the vehicle decked out in camo was spotted undergoing testing as a prototype for the Blazer and had appeared to be wearing its traditional production skin. It’s a bit tough to be positive about the front or rear light clusters, but these pics depicted a quite long low and wide style with smaller front and rear overhangs and a longer wheelbase.

The electric Blazer may not be built on the same platform as the ICE model, and Chevy has not yet confirmed what platform the Blazer EV will ride on, but it looks like it could be on a bespoke EV architecture that could possibly be the Ultium platform. This has undergone intense design and engineering to offer a range of battery pack capabilities between 50 kWh and 200 kWh, with over 300 miles of driving range on one charge while using the largest battery pack.

This Blazer EV may not get a 200 kWh pack, but its size and the fact that Chevy bears much interest in a performance version could still yield around 80 kWh. In contrast to its competitors, the current-model 2022 Blazer is a 5-seat crossover that has most definitely donned a very stylish suit for the party! With a choice between turbo-4 and V6 power, the Blazer offers up a sporty driving flair to go with its trendy appearance. The Premier trim level is where things get perfectly prepped to explore with a sunroof to soak in all the fun, a cloud-based navigation system, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

When this newer all-electric model hits the market, we are going to be thrilled to enjoy the same perfectly comfy front seats wrapped in cloth or leather, and way above average legroom and wide door openings for rear-seat passengers. The Blazer namesake has always resonated with us as bringing about memories of the ideal and very useful cross between an early-model SUV along with the capabilities of a sturdy truck. With strong styling matched to even stronger engines, this year’s Blazer along with the eco-friendly versions arriving soon is the perfect antidote to everyday urban driving doldrums, and anything less ordinary under the middle rung of the available consumer checklist!

2024 Silverado EV Showcased on Vegas Strip at CES to Boast 400 Mile Range, “Successful Bridge to Exciting new Reality”

So many of our loyal customers here at West Chevy of Knoxville have professed consistent and undying love for the Silverado, as it offers awesome towing capability, cutting-edge technology, and the bow-tie brand’s signature form of the American legacy. The Chevy Silverado EV introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas over the past week sees the resurrection of the patented GM midgate, which is a back-of-cab folding bulkhead that makes the truck’s bed longer.

This newest and modern addition to the truck lineup will boast a unified bed/cab structure and independent rear suspension and will ride on the Ultium platform. GM made the official claim during CES that next spring the Silverado EV will be offered in the Work Truck trim with entry-level pricing of under $40,000, with a $105,000 performance RST to be introduced during summer. The official pledge regarding our aspirational electrification plan is to boast an all-electric lineup by 2035, with at least 40 percent of our models being EVs within the next 3 years.

This model bears the appearance of an aerodynamic version of the Chevy Avalanche pickup, and comes with optional two-motor electric drive, optional 4-wheel drive, 510 hp, 615 lb-ft of torque, and 664 hp on the RST trim. If this model is as power-rich and awesome as it looks, the very useful configurable bed storage and front trunk will render it a very versatile and aggressive competitor to many other electric pickup trucks that are poised to capitalize on the pertinent demands of present times.

The Silverado EVs chassis is built around the capable and strong structure of its battery pack, and its respective body and bed form a solid structure for old-school style truck durability. The front end remains short to offer up the best in visibility and heighten the comfort level for rear-seat passenger legroom. Once inside, the interior of the RST trim offers up a 17-inch LCD infotainment screen, with the driver getting a configurable 11-inch instrument display and a full-color head-up display right on the windshield. There are two electric motors poised one on each axle, and both models will offer 400 miles of range, much more than a week’s stellar productivity and driving range within town for the essentials.

The Wide Open Watts setting will assist with a 0 to 60 mph launch in less than 4.5 seconds and will be able to haul large trailers up to 10,000 pounds while carrying 1,300 pounds in its bed. The WT trim will be equipped with an 8,000-lb towing capacity, and 1,200-pound payload capacity, with GM claiming the soon-to-arrive model will later bump up this towing capacity to an astonishing 20,000 pounds. We’d heartily have to interject here and recommend the RST trim: it will come with a towing compatible version of Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology, mapping out the nation’s most traveled roads to allow for hands-free driving and high-tech navigation that allows you to make the most of your journey.

2022 Chevy Malibu Remains as Strong, Steady, and Independent Model for the Average Driver Craving Above-Average Performance

At the mere mention of the name “Malibu” here at West Chevy of Knoxville, any excited driver will think of images such as adrenaline-rich surfing, volleyball in the sun, and enjoying the hot sand of a beach. The 2022 Chevy Malibu stands incredibly strong as a beacon for dependability and versatility, and it still holds strong as an option for anyone needing a very practical and economical method of getting around daily.

Now that the SUV seems to have been put on a bit of a pedestal as the ideal family vehicle, the Malibu remains resilient in many ways, and does not need the very commonplace bells and whistles to properly showcase its value. The base offering sees the model equipped with the turbocharged 1.5-Liter 4-Cylinder engine, and its 160 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque have a delightfully urban-ready performance quality and nature. The Premier edition is where the turbocharged 2.0-Liter 4-cylinder becomes available, with its 250 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, mated to a capable and buttery-smooth 9-speed automatic transmission.

Chevy has uniquely outfitted the Malibu with numerous amenities to assure that the time you spend in the car is always comfortable, beginning with the awesome audio-rich benefits of a 6-speaker entertainment system with the option to step up to a premium Bose 9-speaker setup. There are 15 cubic feet of trunk space to properly accommodate numerous carry-ons, all at a price less than is flaunted from the competition.

Making sure that every new car owner gets to their destination safely has always been priority number one with us here at West Chevy, and therefore we believe that the 2022 Malibu is one of the best values out there. During NHTSA testing, the Malibu received a 4-star overall safety rating. Some of its very valuable safety features include a rear vision camera, a tire pressure monitoring system, and cruise control that all come as standard. The Teen Driver program is also one of the best methods for assuring your younger drivers are where they are supposed to be and when: the “report cards” it issues give a detailed log of audio level, speed, and reliable GPS.

Offering up dutiful efficiency, ideal fuel economy, and ideal safety to the average driver, the Malibu offers a strong sense of feature and technology-rich driving at a very reasonable price. The LT Trim is where we’d recommend the best experience of the Malibu: it comes standard with 17-inch wheels, LED tail lights, an acoustically laminated windshield, remote engine start, heated front seats, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine managed a respectable 34 mpg during a 75-mph highway fuel-economy route, proving yet another economic advantage during a time when being frugal can greatly aid any family!

“Better Call Haul!” 2022 Chevy Colorado Towing Capacities Outlines in Full Detail

The 2022 Chevy Colorado arrives during its 8th model year here of the latest second-get midsize pickup at West Chevy of Knoxville, and all of us here have been loving its ideal fit it displays in so many ways when caught in a pinch! The GM Authority blog took a close look lately at the many ways it beats out the competition, provides a few key updates for the 2022 model year and displays amazing towing capacity.

To get a proper idea of what each of these capable and class-leading rigs can tow, all three engine options are closely looked at, including the naturally aspirated 2.5-Liter I4 LCV gas engine, which is rated at 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6-Liter V6 LGZ gas engine is rated at 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, and the 2.8-Liter Inline 4 LWN turbodiesel Duramax screeches in mightily with its 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both 4-cylinder engines are paired up with the GM 6-speed automatic transmission, with the more powerful 6-cylinder mated to the GM 8-speed automatic.

The body configuration also makes a noticeable difference here with the 2022 Chevy Colorado being offered in its various Crew Cab, Extended Cab, Crew Cab / Short Bed, and Crew Cab / Long bed configurations. The Trailering Package provides the extra might and muster in the form of the 7-pin connector and trailer hitch and is included as standard on Crew Cab Long Bed models. The main stat to glean here is that Chevy Colorado’s max trailering capacity is a whopping 7,700 pounds, and that availability is held true on models fully-equipped with the 2.8-Liter Inline 4 LWN turbodiesel engine and Extended Cab body style.

This max capacity is also available on Short Bed models with rear-wheel drive, and the 2022 Chevy Colorado models that have a bit lower trailering capacity are the ones equipped with the 2.5-Liter Inline 4 LCV gas engine, rated at 3,500 pounds. With a stellar and comfortable ride over most surfaces, easy-to-use cabin controls, and a high daily usability factor, the Colorado is a great selection for anyone who is needing extra time at the lake on the weekends and wants to try one on a truck to see if full-size is an ideal truck option for them in the future.

The Trail Boss Package includes 17-inch gloss black wheels, black exterior trim, skid plates, a 1-inch suspension lift, and removal of the front airdam to make way for better clearance. The Edmunds auto review team tried the Colorado ZR2 out for more than two years and over 50,000 miles, and praised it for its excellent fuel economy, capable off-road demeanor, and numbers a bit more typical of a midsize sedan. Their favorite times were always the instances during which they hit the trail and locked up the differentials, with the Multimatic DSSV shocks offering up the perfectly compressed drive for the many challenges and potholes of Los Angeles.
