Chevy Colorado ZR2 Boasts “Enough Impressive Oomph To Conquer Gnarliest of Terrains”

The midsize truck market has seen a great amount of change over the last five years, as what used to be on the smaller side of things grew exponentially larger, and drivers began demanding more tech features along with a higher level of comfort inside the cabin. The Chevy Colorado has long been a favorite for those looking for a truck that isn't stretched out to XXL proportions, and the ZR2 offers up off-road-ready specifics that have forged their way into a very sizable and loyal following.

There remains the choice of either a diesel-powered 2.8-liter Duramax engine or an optional 3.6-liter gasoline V6, with a 6-speed automatic for the inline-four diesel and 8-speed for the V6. Front and rear locking differentials on top of a switchable 4-wheel drive system are a few of the traits that thoroughly prepare the ZR2 for the demands of the trail, as well as its 7000-lb towing rating. Just a short trip away from us here at West Chevy of Knoxville provides the amazing outdoor excursion to Windrock Park, offering more than 73,000 acres of challenging and versatile terrain to test your rig skills on.

For difficult destinations such as this the diesel would prove to be the best, and if sticking around where you'll be driving on more pavement the gas engine offers a great choice. Handling tricky corners with minimal roll and boasting a completely revised grille, the front fascia now boasts a look that you can't miss as it comes up on you into plain view. Well-chiseled and now hollowed-out to provide drastic improvement for airflow, there is an air of simplicity here that draws visual attention to the end of the truck that will be proceeding towards boulders and other hazards first.

The WT, LT, and Z71 models now feature updated center bars, skid plates, and lower fascias. Red tow hooks are now standard equipment, and you can choose from Bright Blue Metallic, Cherry Red Tintcoat, and Sand Dune Metallic for sand-running and fire-road ready new exterior colors. The LT model receives a new Chevy Infotainment 3 system with an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming for 2 active devices, voice command pass-through to phone, and Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto capability. With an extremely maneuverable size and offering a very comfortable ride over most surfaces, the Edmunds auto review team praised the ZR2 for its consistently excellent fuel economy, and its ability to return an EPA rating of around 20 mph while exhibiting crushing performance off-road all day long.

Great features offered on base-level trims are another way that models like the Colorado provide an added luster: the standard features on the base WT include air conditioning, cloth upholstery, and vinyl floor covering, power windows, 7-inch infotainment, two USB ports, and a 6-speaker sound system. The LT adds all of these great options, plus a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, power-adjustable driver's seat, 8-inch touchscreen, and two additional USB ports.

Chevy Lineup: Midnight, Sport, and RST Packages Enjoy Holiday Appeal + Heightened Demand

The Inventory that awaits holiday shoppers here at West Chevy of Knoxville contains many of the appealing assets we are so proud to offer during the greatest time of year! The Midnight, Sport, and RS trims have proven to be the most popular while securing many orders from interested customers. Awesome additives such as the blacked-out stance to the Traverse's LS and LT trims up their appeal with a Mosaic Black Metallic exterior color, while the Midnight Edition provides an all-black approach. A black ice grille, black-painted aluminum wheels, and badging with black roof rails round out this stealth and a perfectly sinister appearance.

With ample space for passengers and cargo, an intuitive infotainment system, and a highly-ranked and comfortable ride, the 2021 Traverse finished proudly in the top half of USNews.com's prestigious rankings. It harnesses a very capable V6 engine, great gas mileage, and a well-cushioned ride over rough roads. It also ranks at the top of its class in the valuable cargo space category, and the infotainment technology is user-friendly and easily accessible. The Traverse has also been ranked by US News as an ideal car for cruising around with the family, and also as one of the best overall values in its class.

The new 2020 Silverado Midnight and Rally editions are another way that the brand we love  to represent is offering up the ideal truck model this year. It's no surprise that the Midnight Edition is wildly popular: it includes a two-inch factory suspension lift and the Z71 Off-Road Package with Rancho mono-tube off-road shocks, an automatic locking rear differential, and skid plates to protect the most valuable elements your off-road truck carries underneath. The Midnight Edition darkens things up with its own unique flair by means of black Silverado badging, black grille, black bowties, black bumpers, black exhaust tips, and black off-road assist steps.

One in five Chevy Trax buyers opted for the Midnight Edition and Sport Edition packages over the last year, both giving it a unique look that sets it apart from the rest of the model's lineup. The 2021 Trax Sport Edition package provides awesome 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, black badging, and black beltline moldings, as well as black skid plates in the front and rear. Underneath, the very popular Chevy Trax rides on the GM Gamma II platform, shared with the  Buick Encore. The sensible-and-savvy Trax also received an engine swap for the past year, now brandishing the turbocharged 1.4-liter inline-4 LE2 powertrain, which produces 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. Hailed by U.S News for its on-point maneuverability and fuel economy, you'll also benefit from the 18.7 cubic feet of cargo room behind the rear seats, and 48.4 cubic feet with the rear seats folded flat.

2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Duramax and Custom Trail Boss Loaded With Low-End Torque, Feel “Fancy From First Touch”

The available options for the 2020 Chevy Silverado are plentiful, and the staff on duty at esteemed online blog Slashgear set out this past week to offer a close-up and detailed look at two of the best: the 1500 Duramax and Custom Trail Boss. The diesel Duramax model offered the crew an abundance of torque, at 460 lb-ft to go hand-in-hand with 277 horsepower. The 10-speed automatic is aptly equipped with a mass-damper torque converter, which ends up easily proving its presence with confident and smooth performance.

When you climb in and prepare to embark on your next adventure, you'll find four USB ports, dual-zone climate control, remote start, and a 120V outlet as standard. As you are ringing in the sights and sounds of the holidays with a test drive here at West Chevy of Knoxville, make sure to closely check out the LTZ package: it adds premiere goodies in the form of leather seats, a rear-sliding window, heated rear seats, Bose audio, wireless charging, parking assistance, blind-spot warnings, rear-cross traffic and forward collision alerts, lane-keeping assistance with adaptive cruise control, and a power sunroof.

The Technology Package goes to great lengths to make things so much easier on you with modern provisions: here you receive 360-degree cameras, a rear camera mirror and bed-view camera, a head-up display, and an 8-inch driver display. Once you hit the highway, you'll enjoy thoroughly-padded and luxurious seating, and a 29 mpg EPA fuel rating. One of the most recognizable and distinguished pickup trucks in the game, the Silverado 1500's stylish exterior and many customization options render it a breakthrough and front-running offering. The comfortable and quiet cabin will make a memorable impression during any length of drive, and retain its value as one of the most capable and value-driven trucks in existence.

The 2020 Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss provides a stiff yet comfortable ride, and the 6.2-Liter V8 assists greatly with the 5.4-second 0-60 mph time. The 18-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac rubber tires are happily at home while kicking up dirt, and you'll enjoy extras with the inclusion of the Custom Convenience and Infotainment Packages. These provide an EX Lift power lock and release tailgate, LED lighting for the bed, remote start, Sirius XM, and OnStar. You'll also gain Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and steering wheel audio controls.

To assure that you can conquer the challenges of off-road terrain properly, the Trail Boss comes equipped with skid plates, the very useful hill descent control, a two-inch factory suspension lift, mechanical locking rear differential, and Rancho shocks. This 6.2-liter engine is the largest engine out there available for a half-ton pickup, and the media crew on staff at Business 2 Community claimed after drive-testing that it's “way easy to get up to license-losing speed.” Both of these great-looking trucks perform at an awesome top-strength level, and a gift from the legendary bow-tie brand will bring the best of tidings under your 2020 holiday tree!

2021 Chevy Trax To Gain Extra Asset for “Winter Games” Against Crossover Competition, Seeing Addition of LE2 Engine

Over the last five years, the practical and engaging Trax has rapidly become one of our most sought-after models here at West Chevy of Knoxville. Sharing its platform with the wildly popular Buick Encore, it saw a vital refresh in 2017 sharing some awesome bits of exterior flair that drew inspiration from the Malibu. Since the same 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder has been the power source since the beginning, many crossover SUV fans were wondering if it could see an upgrade such as the Trailblazer's on-board 155 hp 1.3-liter turbo.

According to online Chevy specialists GM Authority, the 2021 Chevy Trax will ditch the current  1.4-liter turbo for a new and improved number to offer more in the line of excitement and off-the-line capability. The new engine reportedly goes by the code name of LE2, and now cranks out a total of 153 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It enjoyed a stint as the juice for the Cruze where it was equipped with the game-changing and ultra-efficient automatic stop/start system, which we are not sure yet if the Trax will benefit from.

Luring buyers away from the other poised-and-ready “Winter Olympians” in the form of the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Kicks, the 2021 Trax offers touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. The new model also adds the option of the Premium Seat package, offering faux-leather upholstery with heated front seats, and the Convenience Package, providing keyless passive entry, push-button start, a six-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. While knocking out your holiday to-do list and visiting us here for a test drive, be sure to check out the LT model, which adds heated exterior mirrors, remote start, rear-window tine, and cruise control.

Steady handling and a firm ride give the Trax a solid and consistent daily drive, and responsive steering is ideal for urban stretches and the annual chore of navigating holiday shopping's parking lots. The Car and Driver testing staff claimed that the Trax's brakes are among the strongest in its segment, and the pedal inspires confidence while offering the ability to navigate the congestion of rush hour with ease. A high seating position and more than ample headroom give the cabin a spacious feel, and during the drive, the touchscreen at the top of the dashboard is practical and simple to use.

At an affordable price and loaded with features to entertain everyone along for the trip, key safety features on the 2021 Trax include available forward-collision warning, available blind-spot monitoring, and available rear parking sensors. We'll let you be the judge of how it stacks up against its rivals, and much like a champion bobsledder would size up the flume before launching down the hill, embrace the holiday spirit and prepare to festively crown another champion Chevy model!

2021 Suburban Comes With Top Tier-Technology and Comfort so Lavish You'll Love Being a Passenger

Jim Rossman of The Dallas Morning News is a technology review professional by trade and got a chance to try out the 2021 Suburban. His employer deemed the Suburban well-loaded enough with new technology for Rossman to take it for a spin himself. Coming in at 18.8 feet long and 6.75 feet wide, he quickly realized that it did not quite handle like his tiny sedan, but he began to have a love for its commanding presence on the road.

He enjoyed the extras that the High Country Deluxe edition package adds through the panoramic sunroof, adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, power-retractable running boards with perimeter lighting, air ride adaptive system, trailer brake controller, and advanced trailering system with hitch view. The review vehicle also came equipped with the “mother load” of features as far as the passengers looking to stay entertained are concerned, with the rear seat media system that has 12.6-inch color touchscreens.

The very handy power-sliding rear console can slide back up to 10 inches to bring the rear cupholders closer to those in the back and has a small shelf inside where personal belongings can be stowed away during the ride. The onboard safety tech was one of the main reasons that Jim was reviewing the brand-new Suburban, and the list began with automatic emergency braking with forward collision alert, which will warn you of an impending collision and even stop for you if you do not take action quickly. Lane-keep assist uses a forward-facing camera behind the rearview mirror to helpfully scan lane markings on the road below, then provides a green-lit icon as a warning while nudging the wheel safely back to the center of the lane.

The Suburban will offer the ideal solution for many who are taking a long trip, which is a well-deserved festive holiday activity and perfect time to spend together! Counting the miles until you see your loved ones is that much better when you are sprawled out in a vehicle offering this much comfort. The side mirrors are equipped with blind-spot warnings, which are a lifesaver when you want to quickly see if the lane is clear. If you need to wait for a second to safely switch lanes, a bright yellow light will alert you. Another ingenious use of modern safety technology is placed directly in the rear bumper: there are sensors here to warn you if cross-traffic is approaching before you back up, preventing many a busy neighborhood or grocery-store parking lot mishap.

As we are now entering an era that is going to see various levels of autonomous driving become more and more sophisticated, it's features like adaptive cruise control that have definitely paved the first patches of the exciting journey. It not only keeps your speed but will slow down if you happen to approach a slower vehicle in your lane. While this does NOT allow for you as the driver to drift into territory where you are not completely alert, it will undoubtedly save lives and be of great assistance for those not keeping proper track of their busy surroundings. When it comes to greats like the new Suburban, it is true that “you didn't have it this good when you were a kid,” and maneuvering with this larger-sized vehicle is still considerably simple for the size.

2021 Chevy Tahoe PPV Offers Law-Enforcement-Grade Status to Keep Streets Safe

As we have always taken note of just how useful and multi-capable the Tahoe is here at West Chevy of Knoxville, this full-size SUV now has another important and life-saving duty to attend to: the 2021 Chevy Tahoe PPV is on target to handle police duties like a boss. Chevy has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with law enforcement to collect information and know which equipment, reinforcement, and technology features are required. The 2021 Chevy Tahoe PPV derives power from a 5.3-liter L84 EcoTec 3 small-block V8 that cranks out 355 horsepower.

The advanced technology in the Dynamic Fuel Management feature offers twelve different modes of cylinder deactivation designed to assure that the engine remains efficient even when adapting to the changing conditions of pursuit and rescue duties. Speaking of very high speeds, it also puts to use the high-performance rocker covers borrowed from the ZL1 LT4 engine from the Chevy Camaro, drastically improving crankcase ventilation. The ten-speed Hyrda-Matic 10L80 automatic transmission was developed as a dual partnership between Ford and GM. Since officers are bound to encounter situations that heavily tax the engine, dedicated cooling systems take care of making sure that temperatures of the transmission fluid and oil are kept cool enough to handle the pressure.

The challenges of police work also have a heavy toll on suspension, and this Tahoe PPV's suspension has seen modifications that added monotube dampers, coil springs, and stabilizer bars to assure that there is minimal body roll as well as preparing the driver to be able to execute different maneuvers. The standard Duralife brake rotors and calipers have been replaced with six-piston aluminum monoblock calipers and Brembo 16-inch rotors. For those taking a test-drive of the new Tahoe that only have civilian duties on their daily to-do list the Tahoe provides a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, a standard Rear-Vision Camara, and the Rear Park Assist sensor suite that comes in handy when squeezing into tighter parking spots.

Forward collision alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, and following distance indicator are other onboard technical safety features that help in the way of extra “eyes and ears” while in pursuit or high-traffic location. The alternator in the Tahoe PPV has been upgraded with one that is 47% more powerful, and a 760-amp battery was added to aid with the higher-power lighting equipment that law enforcement duties demand.

The longer wheelbase on the 2021 Tahoe greatly increases passenger comfort, and its towing and hauling abilities are similar to that of a full-size pickup. Its new independent rear suspension provides a much more composed ride and gives you greater stability during quick cornering. There is also an upgrade in the form of a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system mounted on top of the dash, and a wireless charging pad offered as standard works well in conjunction with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Premier trim provides numerous high-end extras for sprawled-out enjoyment including a 10-speaker Bose audio system, heated and ventilated front seats, second-row bucket seats, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitor.

2021 Chevy Corvette's Head-to-Head Race With the Polar Express May See Arrival Earlier Than Expected

2021 Chevrolet Corvette

On-schedule production has been an element of many new car releases that has unfortunately been altered this year, as unforeseen events took their toll on manufacturing and development worldwide. The good news in the form of much-needed holiday cheer is that things are looking up for C8 completion, as the Corvette Action Center reports that production has now ramped up to two shifts that can result in 186 cars per day, up from last month's stated abilities.

With this thankfully being the case, the scheduled arrival of the 2021 model has moved up, and just may beat the snow-and-icicle-covered clock to arrive for some happy owners by Christmas day! An official update released last week claimed that production is now scheduled to begin on December 8, which is a month earlier than previously thought. In order to achieve a lofty goal of 20,000 units for this outgoing model year, the 2020 and 2021 Corvettes may be produced side by side. Another promising sign is the arrival of the 2021 configurator, ready for those to piece together their favorite form of this mid-engined marvel that has taken the automotive world by storm.

This year's model sees the introduction of two new colors and new stripe options, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the standalone option of magnetorheological dampers. These employ the movement of fluid between different chambers by way of small orifices in the piston, completing the conversion of shock energy into actual heat. This addition is very effective in providing a smooth ride, and the stiffness can be changed by the push of a button. It's the long-awaited release that U.S. News claimed is “A sheer joy to drive”, with a V8 laying down raw power displaying the utmost sense of well-chiseled authority.

With a powertrain enabling it to get up to speed like a ferociously-launching rocket, gear changes from the dual-clutch transmission are surely the fastest and smoothest we have ever witnessed here at West Chevy of Knoxville. With the engine now mounted directly behind the driver's seat, you can lean in and take note of the magnificent roar present at full throttle, with the option to add an amazing performance exhaust. Where sought after thrill factor on the track becomes forever game-changing is with the addition of the Z51 Package: it provides an upgraded cooling system, performance exhaust, stiffer suspension, higher axle ratio, Michelin Pilot Sport summer tires, and restyled front splitter as well as a rear spoiler.

Carbon fiber side mirrors and a carbon fiber grille insert are other additives to provide an individual and stealth-like appearance, and a red or silver engine cover is an ideal choice to add a premier sense of spotlight celebrating the new layout. Heftily succeeding in a finely-defined territory where many sports cars can't, the new Corvette offers a massively-thrilling driving experience on-demand, and easygoing mannerisms on the daily drive's flip-side. At the price that the 2021 Corvette is available for, its aggressive stance, perfectly-honed interior, and driver-focused thrills are destined to be remembered in the highest of car buff regard for decades!

Add-ons in Time for the Holidays: 4 Performance Upgrades for the Chevy Silverado 1500

Making an already great Chevy Silverado even more awesome could be the perfect holiday surprise for the truck owner on your list, and as the most festive time of year is soon upon us it's time to take note of some new upgrades that are available. Did you know that if you choose OEM-backed parts directly from GM, your factory warranty is still good? This should provide all of our West Chevy of Knoxville customers peace of mind for the long haul when choosing sweet mods for their vehicle.

The turkey-and-trimmings-ready spotlight on "The Big 4" shone brightly on the GM Authority blog last week as they provided a close-up look at the products that will allow you to still safely rely on the three-year factory warranty. These 4 unique upgrades include the Cat Back Exhaust Upgrade System, Air Intake Upgrade System, the Front Brembo Big Brake Upgrade System and the Rancho Two-Inch Suspension Lift Kit from the Chevy Performance catalog.

The Cat Back Exhaust Upgrade System offers up to a 7-horsepower improvement, and the fine-looking 4.5-inch outer diameter dual wall with an angle-cut, high-polished exhaust tip is the ultimate visual statement. The system is a bold-on cat back and everything is included for step-by-step installation, while also passing the emissions tests in every single state.

The Front Brembo Big Brake Upgrade System features Brembo six-piston, fixed aluminum calipers, and Duralife rotors to yield an 84% increase in overall brake pad area and a 42% increase in rotor area to boost thermal capacity. The Duralife hardened rotor surface helps to reduce corrosion as well as offering stellar braking with less vibration. If you have your eyes on a perfectly matched set, the Color Keyed Rear Calipers are an ideal fit while aiding stopping power and improving brake life.

The Two-Inch Suspension Lift is a great way to see a quick improvement in ground clearance, preparing those who are eager to try their hand at off-roading with an awesome trail-ready upgrade. The front camera and power steering will require slight reconfiguration. If you're looking to conquer tricky terrain, this is a great starting point before you get into skid plates, locking differentials and other expert-level gear.

The Air Intake Upgrade System works hard to reduce air intake restriction by up to 13% and looks striking situated right under the hood. It is available for 5.3-liter applications and sports a high-efficiency dry media filter, a 98-mm outer-diameter intake tube and a matching MAF calibration for first-rate performance. After undergoing strenuous testing for corrosion, durability and performance, this system is compliant with every state's emission requirements and will not void your valuable Limited Warranty.

These 4 upgrades were officially announced during the SEMA360 online show which began on November 2nd. Along with other sizzling new Chevy products such as the Electric Connect and Cruise Package or Camaro SS drag racing parts, these are all great gift ideas for the Silverado owner in your life or a great way to treat yourself and boost your brand-new truck's performance with GM-approved aftermarket items.

Take a look at the upgrades here.

“Living Big in a Small SUV” With The 2021 Chevy Trailblazer AWD

After driving any car model for a week, the longstanding impression is so much better to report back on than just a short stint. The staff on hand at the Ottowa Herald spent a week with the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, complete with All-Wheel-Drive and the high-grade ACTIV trim. It's a practical vehicle for busy families that love the functionality and form of a crossover, and you'll find room for five passengers inside. Every Trailblazer comes with 10 airbags and an array of safety features, as well as 54.4 cubic Feet of cargo space and ample head and legroom for passengers 6 ft tall and over.

All-Wheel-Drive models offer 8 inches of ground clearance, half an inch more than the front-drive option. In 1999, the Trailblazer felt like more of a truck with a robust and mighty V6 and even V8 engines. In those days crossover SUVs weren't as popular, and today the gradual transformation has led to customers raving over every new available shape and size. Power is sourced from the Ecotec 1.3-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, cranking out 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque.

The head tester from the Herald claimed after driving that Chevy had indeed perfected the “little three” with the turbo kicking in and offering up fantastic low-end acceleration. He pointed out a crucial factor that will convince many right here at West Chevy of Knoxville the Trailblazer is a front-running choice for a new vehicle: you won't even know that it's a three-cylinder under the hood, and when you get to 60 mph and hit the accelerator, the result and all-around performance is stellar. EPA fuel rating is at 26 city and 29 highway, and the larger engine offers up 30 city and 32 highway.

Off-road ready vehicles are now in high demand, and the Trailblazer is primed and ready with skid plates to protect the underside as well as the ability to fold the front passenger seat down to make room for outdoor gear. Every trim level of Trailblazer comes with Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam Automatic high beam headlights. Parking is easy due to the vehicle's smaller size, and the MacPherson front strut with off-road suspension tuning provides an incredibly comfortable ride.

A 1,000-lb maximum towing capacity comes courtesy of a trailering kit as standard on every model, as well as four-wheel ABS disc brakes. Opting for the ACTIV trim level is where the interior ups the luxury factor with leatherette stitched seating, power driver seat with lumbar, and auto high beams. Every model features Android/Apple compatibility, air conditioning, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Another additive that comes highly recommended is the Technology Package: you'll get to enjoy a Bose seven-speaker stereo, HD surround vision camera, adaptive smart cruise, driver info cameras, wireless Apple and Android, and wireless charging.

2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2's Stance and Design “Perfect in a Segment Primed For a Renaissance”

One of our favorite websites committed to reporting all current events car and truck-related was right on point last week as they stated: “When the time comes to haul around the dirt for the fall garden clean-up, we all want killer trucks in our driveways.” As the leaves begin to fall this month and temperatures begin their gradual drop, at West Chevy of Knoxville we realize that many suburban dwellers will want to relish a perfect pickup situated in their driveway. The owner of this title shall have room to store, be easy to navigate and park, and boast a hefty amount of convenience features currently available.

The Colorado ZR2 pickup was ranked by the writers on staff at Wheels.Ca as the “Gold Standard” for the potential mid-sized trucks are poised and ready to deliver, and that many happy owners rely on every day. The ZR2's standard engine is the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6, which cranks out 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. The ZR2 offers off-road features many have come to expect: such as a suspension lift, Autotrac transfer case, cast-iron control arms, or front and rear locking differentials.

The Multimatic dampers are a key addition that also makes the ZR2 so much better than average, having the ability to travel from the hardest-to-navigate trail to easily gliding down the interstate. Maximum towing rating as 7,700 lbs, and as you “strive for the mountaintop” you can put to use up to four USB ports, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charger, and 8-inch infotainment screen. Proudly manufactured at the GM Wentzville,  Missouri plant, the 2021 model features a revised front fascia, the addition of three exterior colors, and is offered in the Extended Cab with Long Box as well as Crew Cab with Short Box variants.

All Colorados get a brand new tailgate featuring embossed Chevy lettering, similar to what is found on the Silverado 1500 and Silverado 2500 HD. The grille is now wider, with Chevy Lettering in the cutout to allow for more precious airflow. One of our favorite hues is the “Sand Dune Metallic” that looks better the more dust it plows through valiantly while navigating the perils of off-road excitement. Staking its claim as a Motortrend comparison test winner, it's a pretty safe bet that after you load up everything you'll feel ready to approach any slope or runoff with ease.

One of the Colorado ZR2's best features is its turbo-diesel powertrain, assuring that this is the most impressive off-road model in our lineup. 6 airbags, climate control, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and HD / Satellite radio and rear camera are other features that keep you comfortable and engaged while getting ready to conquer anything the vast wilderness offers up. Skid plates, rocker protection, heavy-duty lights, and a sport bar are a few other goodies that the ZR2 has up its sleeve to offer the best weekend in the wild anyone could ask for!

Suspension and Wheel Updates Allow For 36,000 Lb. Towing Capacity on 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500

Staring down the barrel of an intimidating workload would make anyone realize that they need extra-durable, strong equipment at their disposal, and their choice of truck may determine just how much they get done. Fortunately for anyone out there facing heavy hauls in their near future, the 2021 Silverado HD stands poised to offer assistance! Previous models saw their capacity at 35,500 pounds of towing capacity, but the new model has added 500 pounds thanks to changes made to the wheels and suspension, for a total of 36,000 pounds!

We have looked into the updated Silverado HD in detail here at West Chevrolet in Knoxville, which begins with the Work Truck trim level. Other necessary equipment is the regular cab, a dual-rear-wheel setup, two-wheel drive, the Max Tow Package, and the 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine paired with the 10-speed Allison automatic transmission. The 2500HD and the 3500HD already offer up to 15 available camera views to aid with towing, and they are "coming in hot" with five new trailering features on next year's model. The trailer length indicator makes changing lanes a snap during towing, and the Jack-knife alert assures that the trailer and truck stay aligned to prevent a life-threatening accident. While you are hitching your load you might realize that yourself in a hurry to make your schedule. The addition of improved rear trailer view makes the process easier along with cargo bed view enhancement and rear side view enhancement.

Owning a special edition truck is the ultimate opportunity to brand it as your own, and show your unique flair and personality. The Carharrt Special Edition for the LTZ trim is spiced up with a pinstripe design that uses the same gold hue displayed by the Carharrt logo. The hood gets extra black vents, the tailgate brandishes the bowtie logo, and chrome bits are present on the front grille. The Z71 Chrome Sport adds chrome accents and 20-inch wheel options, and there are other Silverado HD updates for the year such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. J.D. Power has named the Silverado HD as the highest-ranked large heavy-duty pickup for both long-term quality and initial quality, as the truck comes prepared to work hard for many rewarding and task-accomplishing years down the line.

The myChevrolet Mobile App is an incredibly useful way to keep organized with features such as pre-departure checklists, exterior lighting diagnostics, trailer maintenance reminders, and trailer tire pressure monitoring. Along with the extra towing ability as an excellent feature for a busy contractor or ranch hand, the StabiliTrack Electronic Stability Control System with Trailer Sway Control is on full-time duty preventing the trailer from swinging. During a sway incident, the sensor will detect the driver's intended yaw direction, while another measures the true yaw and sends a signal to the integrated Trailer Brake Control to take action.

Stay tuned for more updates on the 2021 Silverado HD, or come to West Chevrolet and test drive one for yourself! We know this is the perfect update to your personal vehicle or fleet!

2021 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Both in Position to Claim North American Utility of The Year

As the fall decorations go up and our thoughts turn to harvest, Halloween, and college sports events here at West Chevy of Knoxville, awards and achievements are also high on our list of items grabbing our attention. When customers are making the decision regarding whether or not a certain new vehicle is a right choice for them and their family, many of them eventually turn to what the most experienced experts think. After the North American Car Utility and Truck of the Year Awards recently announced the vehicles that made it to their semifinals list, our 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Suburban were among those that made the cut!

These are all vehicles that make very bold statements and are built specifically with the expertise to distinguish them from others in their segments. Now the list of semifinalists will head to the NACTOY's skilled panel of judges, which now includes 50 automotive experts from media outlets in the United States and Canada covering online, print, radio, and broadcast media. Detailed comparison drives will take place during the annual event where judges decide on winners in each category, which are announced along with holiday excitement in December.

The 2021 Chevy Tahoe and 2021 Chevy Suburban are combined into a single entry for this year's Utility of the Year category, going up heartily against rivals such as the 2021 Cadillac Escalate, the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer, and the Ford Bronco Sport. Both the 2021 Tahoe and Suburban models saw a complete re-engineering and re-design for the 2021 model year, entering their fifth and twelfth generations respectively. Both of these models ride on the GM T1 platform and have three engine options. They are the 5.3-liter V8 L84 gas engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 L87 gas unit, and the brand new 3.0-liter l6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax.

The 2021 Chevy Tahoe's recent re-design has properly equipped it to be the ultimate SUV, providing the most interior space of any SUV on the market, front-running technologies and features, and the best driving dynamics offered in the full-size segment. The Suburban and Tahoe are two vehicles that had leading auto roles in Hollywood films, carried military heroes and world leaders to safety, and were instrumental in the creation of numerous cross-country family memories. The top-level High Country trim is one to check out for the truck lover who “truly wants it all”: It boasts a unique grille with bronze accents and High Country badging, 22-inch wheels with chrome inserts, HD Surround Vision, and the Rear Camera Mirror.

The 2021 Chevy Suburban is one of those groundbreaking vehicles that was destined to be the largest, proudest, and distinguished right from the start. The street-inspired character of the RST trim includes all LT content plus black and clack-chrome exterior trim, and 22-inch wheels. The off-road-ready Z71 model provides preparedness for off-road locations with its higher approach angle, standard 4WD, all-terrain tires, two-speed transfer case, and Hill Descent Control. The Premiere trim allows for a boost in audio enrichment with a 10-speaker Bose sound system, power releases for both rows of rear seats, and the best in safety technology features such as Front and Rear Park Assist.

The 2021 Camaro: Attention-Worthy Warrior Rebelliously Ruling the Pony Class

The raw fury and excitement that getting behind the wheel of a Camaro evokes is one of the most fun experiences among all of the activities that a crisp fall day could offer. Now in its 6th generation, the 2021 Camaro first wows admirers as it passes quickly by them with stellar exterior features, and telltale lower front grille specifically designed for aerodynamic performance. The LED extension of the upper headlights gives the upper grille its stylish appearance, and the aggressive stance of the car meshes well with the 650-horsepower engine under the hood.

There are 5 exterior design types up for grabs: Redline Edition, Shock and Steel Special Editions, Convertible, RS, and the 1LE. Once inside, leather seats are present as standard equipment, and you can opt for heated and RECARO sports seats and steering wheel. Every available equipment option offers ambient lighting, a must for a vehicle that is already bound to instantly attract attention! It can be set as single or dual color, properly setting the tone for a solo cruise through the night, or having a favorite special someone along for the ride.

Red seat belts, aluminum pedals, and a steering wheel and gear lever decked out in microfiber are other additional options to add flavor to the interior. As soon as you are in reverse the rear-view camera activates, and if there is a vehicle approaching from behind visual warnings appear on the reversing camera as well as a distinct warning by sound. Preparing to squeeze into a tight spot while out grabbing groceries or some prepping for a football game watching weekend? Parking assist alerts warn you if you get too close to another vehicle with the use of sensors hard at work in all four corners of the Camaro.

The head-up screen allows the driver to monitor speed, fuel level, tachometer, and more vital data that reflect on the windshield without having to tilt the head at all. Launch control is by far one of the most thrilling components to have at your fingertips: providing assistance with how much you need to press the gas pedal in conjunction with the brake, it also locks the front wheels promptly to allow for the tires to warm up with an intense pre-drag skid.

The LS Model is a base-level Camaro that is equipped with the 4-cylinder engine and 2.0-liter turbocharger. It cranks out 275 horsepower, and 400 lb-ft of torque. There is the choice of 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission, and it reaches 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.

The Camaro LT is another 4-cylinder model boasting the 2.0-liter turbocharger, with the option of stepping up to the 3.6-liter V6, which generates 335 horsepower and 385 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices are the same as on the LS Model, with the 10-speed automatic available on the V6. Zero to sixty time is shaved by .2 seconds with the use of the V6.

The Camaro LT1 showcases the ferocious performance of the 6.2-liter V8 engine, offering up 455 horsepower and 616 lb-ft of torque. Here you can choose from the 6-speed manual gear or 10-speed automatic transmission, both yielding a blisteringly fast 0-60 mph gallop of 4.3 seconds.

The Camaro ZL1 is the king of the throne concerning all things breakneck-pace related! Here the 6.2-liter V8 doles out 650 horsepower, along with 881 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options are the 6-speed manual and 10-speed automatic. Roaring up to 60 mph takes only 3.7 seconds, and this is the true contender here at West Chevy of Knoxville when it comes to any proper piston-firing showdown!

2021 Chevy Trailblazer Arrival Boasts Industry-Leading infotainment, Alluring Styling, Firm Ride

As we rapidly approach Fall here at West Chevy of Memphis, there are curious customers asking us about test-drive results for many of our top-ranking vehicles. The 2021 Trailblazer is one that remains high on the list due to mass appeal, extreme affordability, and the addition of great new features on yearly models. We recently got our hands on a test-drive dossier that fully described a day spent with the incoming Trailblazer, sporting all-wheel-drive and the Activ trim.

One of the first things that those trying out the Trailblazer are drawn to is the design cues borrowed from the aggressive and sporty Chevy Blazer. The testing model in question here was powered by the 155-horsepower, turbocharged, 3-cylinder engine that quickly offered up a nice punch off the line and is a fitting option for this popular crossover. After a couple of miles, the driver immediately was drawn to the compelling exterior styling, and the inside seeing a full load of leading infotainment and connectivity. The driving modes consist of normal, sport, and all-wheel-drive, with the sport providing a very noticeable firm character for the steering.

There are 25 cubic feet of cargo space residing under the powered liftgate which increases to 54 feet when the rear seats are dropped. A small trailer or camper weighing up to 1,000 pounds can be towed along for a quick outdoor trip or supply run. Infotainment features are accessed from an 8-inch central touchscreen, also offering OnStar's 4G LTE WiFi and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to pair up with wireless charging. The test crew from Business Insider claimed that this is one of the best systems on the market, and superior to what is found in various luxury brands.

There is also the option to add a seven-speaker Bose audio system, delivering first-rate sound  to you and your passengers. Coupled with an array of driver-assist features and an HD rear-facing camera, the Trailblazer is hereby rendered by the team as money very well spent. This could be a fantastic option when compared to the competition in the forms of the Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-3, or the Honda HR-V, even if you have been closely eyeing crossovers with bigger powertrains.

A fitting choice for suburban drivers and a change from the same-old qualities of current crossovers, the technology inside is what made the Trailblazer a winner for this crew. So many  are now on the hunt for a competent smaller-size crossover that consistently has great looks and offers up superior value in lower trims, and this is a model that delivers on all fronts. Touting the ability to easily squeeze into tight spots along with its great fuel economy makes it an easy recommendation for anyone looking to upgrade to the duality of a reliable yet eye-catching segment leader!

EV Status For an All-American Classic: Corvette Stingray Rumored to go Electric Within Three Years

Throughout the years here at West Chevy of Knoxville, it has been a pleasure to take note of every fantastic new vehicle's engine offerings, raw power, and individual personality. As times change, some of the ingredients are altered a bit, but the track-ready and aggressive stance of the Corvette Stingray is a model that will be sure to always remain the same at heart. A recent rumor now indicates that an electric-powered Corvette Stingray will most likely be rolling onto lots by 2023.

The rumor came from GMTrucks.com and claimed that an electric Stingray will be finished with development within the next three years. They also offered up details that claim the Stingray will also feature an electric all-wheel drive option, meaning it won't derive power from an entirely electric source, but still be a giant step in the right direction. If everything goes as planned, this will be the very first Corvette with an AWD option. Many other experts have claimed that the vehicle will be promoted as an eAWD performance number, instead of a full-blown hybrid.

There was not an exact confirmation regarding how many electric motors the car would use, or if it would also feature a plug-in option. While at this point not confirmed 100%, the rumor definitely makes sense as we have been paying full attention to other brands and their aggressive plans to electrify the vast majority of their fleets. Many elements of the fast-approaching future are not in the least far fetched: two years ago popular automotive startup Genovation Cars successfully converted a Chevy C7 Corvette into an all-electric supercar that boasted 800 horsepower, 700 lb-ft of torque, and a blisteringly-fast top speed of 220 mph.

It went from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and was one of the few electric cars in existence to have an optional 7-speed manual transmission. The company was thrilled to take a true American icon and reinvent it, and has yet to completely max out the speed and endurance potential of electrification on the track. Last July, sources from Chevy told auto journalist Paul Eisenstein that the current powertrain does allow for electrification, claiming that “mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and full-electric versions were being considered.”

We will keep you posted here on the blog regarding any updates, as we are committed to a wholehearted strategy of zero emissions, zero crashes and zero congestion. All of the technology that this vehicle possesses is meant to provide future support for electric power, and the mid-engine placement on the Corvette would make for a large battery compartment that is more convenient than a front-motor setup. We know that it may not seem traditional to some used to the current standard, but the potential for a machine that is just as mean as anything petrol-powered is ripe for exploration and discovery!

At 29 MPG hwy/24 MPG city, arriving home with a new Trax is a reason to celebrate, as you will be cutting down on the massive “pain at the pump” factor. After a sizzling holiday weekend full of outdoor activity and time spent with the ones you care about most, we wanted to showcase one of our favorite variants of paint color for the Trax: Black Cherry Metallic.

Touting Black Cherry on the outside and jet black taking up the interior, this is one of the configurations available for the LT trim. Joining you along for the ride are first-rate features like a back-up camera, all-wheel drive, a WiFi hotspot, and onboard communications system. Power is derived from the Ecotec Turbo 1.4-Liter, delivering 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. We listened when customers told us repeatedly that they were hungry for a feature-rich base trim. We delivered on the LS with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, manual-folding side mirrors, and a rearview camera.

Inside you'll find a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, driver's seat power lumbar adjustment, and 7-inch touchscreen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard, accessed with a 4G LTE connection, as well as a six-speaker sound system with two USB ports. You are going to be drawn to this color choice so much that spicing it up even further will be a must: taking care of this is a snap with the Tint and Cruise package, that adds perfectly tinted windows and cruise control.

Stepping up to the LT trim will not only include the Tint and Cruise, but also roof rails, upgraded headlights, LED daytime running lights, heated mirrors, remote vehicle start, upgraded cloth upholstery, a 110-volt outlet, satellite radio, a cargo cover, and a storage drawer conveniently situated under the passenger seat. The LT Convenience package is ideal for the discerning driver who is looking for the finer things: it adds premium cloth upholstery with faux leather inserts, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless ignition and entry, and a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat.

Knowing down to the very last detail exactly what is happening on the road around you is key for your safety, and the Driver Confidence package includes rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. The sound system you'll be loving so much sees an upgrade with the Sun and Sound package: the sunroof allows for a higher UV dose while the speaker count is bumped up to 7.

Make sure to keep your eyes on the standout Redline Edition: since a growing focus has lately been the apple of the consumers' eye regarding appearance, this great package adds stealth black body accents and 18-inch alloy wheels painted black with red accent stripes. Top-of-the-line luxury is appealing in all forms, but on this well-crafted crossover, the Premier trim comes packing its high-end punch with 18-inch wheels, fog lights, faux leather upholstery, an auto-dimming mirror, and heated front seats.
