A completely retuned turbo, brand-new pistons with a revised combustion bowl, and new fuel injectors have aided the new diesel with its much more muscular stance. 

The LT Model is where the more luxurious interior makes its mark, with the 5.3-liter V8 a bit quicker than the optional diesel. The Z71 off-road package appeals to many with its features that make playing in the mud much more accessible. Every version of the Silverado feels smaller on the road than its actual size suggests, and the Trail Boss model checks all the needed boxes for a can-do and very rugged half-ton offering.
