Everyone we know here at West Chevy of Knoxville has been rightfully excited to see their work lives come back full steam during 2021, and embrace a sense of normalcy that had gone a bit awry over the past 12 months! One of the best ways to get the job at hand done daily is to be properly equipped with an awesome truck, and the Chevy Silverado Medium Duty Line has seen a few changes and updates for this exciting new year.
The Chevy Medium Duty Truck now will become available in Regular Cab and Crew Cab configurations with a few different wheelbases to better traverse the job site or distance to it. The available choices when looking for the perfect hauler or tower are the 4X4 Crew Cab Dual Rear Wheel, the 4X4 Regular Cab Dual Rear Wheel, the 2WD Regular Cab Dual Rear Wheel, and the 2WD Crew Cab Dual Rear Wheel models. For the 2021 model year, the five new exterior color choices are Smokey Quartz Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, Northsky Blue Metallic, Shadow Gray Metallic, and Satin Steel Metallic.
If you wish, you can opt to get rid of the rear window with the option of the Shuttle Bus Package, School Bus Package, or the Emergency Service Package. Providing stellar and first-class service to your community's valuable first responders includes dual alternators, end-of-cab wiring potential, and a backup alarm. Inside, there is now the addition of a useful auxiliary A/C compressor for HVAC provisions, an available option that includes an A/C compressor directly mounted to the engine accessory drive, and an upfitter for AC hose connections, plumbing and control circuit. There is now the addition of StabiliTrak as standard on all models, as well as the Neutral-at-Stop feature.
There is also an open, non-locking rear as the standard differential, as well as an exhaust brake. The Medium Duty pickups also see the new addition of FuelSense 2.0 transmission shift control calibration technology. This ingenious solution uses a unique set of software and electronic means to efficiently deliver fuel savings consistently up to 6% while keeping the truck's operation at a fully durable and productive, haughty hum. The purpose of a pickup truck is to get hard jobs done correctly and efficiently, and when this truck was released in cooperation with Navistar, a new force on any demanding job site or long road trip to be reckoned with was born.
Unlocking a massive amount of potential and the ability to put in the extra hours when it counts, this entire line can make a new franchise owner, grocery supplier, or shipping expert's to-do list so much easier to accomplish. Record low temperatures had made it quite a bit tougher to move goods around this winter, and companies nationwide are realizing that having the most trusty and load-capable rigs are going to see them arriving at their destination with punctuality, flawless accuracy, and no-nonsense distribution potential!
