Corvette Z06 Spy Video Snags Accurate Visual + Audio Snapshot Of Delicious Notes Sources From Flat-Plane Crank V8

The state of Michigan has long been a proving ground in many ways for top-notch cars such as the Chevy Corvette Z06, as all of us here at West Chevy of Knoxville have watched it experience growth through leaps and bounds. Both development and testing have deep roots in this state, with the Motor City's legacy standing strong. Every new amazing car rolling off the assembly line reflects a sense of pride and all-American purpose.

Spy shots from Autoblog.com give the dedicated car fan a good idea of what things will look like concerning the finished product while some of the fine points are still being ironed out. This video shows the brand-new C8 Chevy Corvette Z06 completing straight-line runs that allow for prime sampling of the sounds of the flat-crank V8. These will no doubt resonate with any fan of the wonderful audio bellow that is possible via killer engineering and heart-pumping speed tests.

The sport of racing has always been serious business among the most inspired, and when the flags are thrown down, only the most finely-tuned and ready to rumble cars can aspire to edge past others for first place bragging rights. The currently road-legal V8 is now rumored to boast a 9,000 RPM redline and significantly larger numbers in the horsepower department than the C8 R's 500. The flat-plane crank layout allows this 'Vette model to share camaraderie and company with the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, and a few other incredibly souped-up and class-leading V8-powered Italian sports cars that are known for displaying consistently mind-blowing performance.

Another car spotted during this session was appropriately fitted for braking and aero testing, and was unfortunately not captured on video for us to speculate upon. It was brandishing a huge wing, which the one caught on audio and video did not have, and there is plenty of mystery yet in regards to just what other model was spotted that day flaunting its very high-powered chops. The Car and Driver staff reported that the 2022 Z06 will sound unlike any other 'Vette that has come before it, and look even more fierce than the mainstream C8 thanks to bigger air scoops, flared fenders, and other aerodynamic properties that are on deck to help with all-important cornering traction.

Being focused for the track takes many hours of close examination regarding every single component of a car before it is ready to display the serious performance attributes that the coming Z06 is sure to possess. When the C8 arrived on the scene, it was well-determined that the everyday drive with it was simply amazing, as the driver-focused cockpit and superb handling dictated. The soon-to-be-available Z06 will assuredly lap up corners and straightaways with ease, and the consistent presence of over 600 horsepower will provide the most fierce of properties in its trophy case!
